Cole Lauterbach reports:

Illinois lawmakers still could bring legislation requiring businesses to produce past information on with whom they have shared their customers’ data. Under the law, companies unable to produce that information can get sued.

State Rep. Arthur Turner says his bill wouldn’t change business practices, but it would give consumers the right to see who’s been sharing their information.
