Does the president’s extreme vetting now include asking about visa applicants’ medical status?  How much medical information should visa applicants have to disclose? And on what medical basis will decisions be made to approve or reject the application?

What is this really about? If there are those who have been malnourished or mistreated or who are in poor health as a result of conditions in their homeland, are we now going to punish them by denying them visas because they’re not 100% healthy?

Read the notice for the Federal Register and then think about whether you want to submit comments (which will be public). Also think about the privacy implications of this proposal. And think about how you’d feel if you applied for a visa to another country and they wanted a medical on you.
