The Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) issued – on 14 January 2014 – fines against two companies which had violated the Spanish ‘cookie consent’ requirement. The AEPD fined Navas Joyeros S.L. and Luxury Experience S.L., jewellery companies with a variety of promotional websites, a total of 3,500€ for not providing clear and comprehensive information about the tracking programs they used.
