Kaliya Hamlin has an article on ReadWriteWeb about leaving Facebook. One of the services Hamlin describes is Seppuko.com, where you, too, can commit virtual suicide on Facebook and the service will send out your notice to all of your friends and launch a memorial page for you. The site was created by Les Liens Invisibles, an Italian artists’ group.

Now stop me if you’ve heard this one already, but Facebook’s lawyers have sent the site a cease and desist letter that begins:

facebook_cd

The site has responded to the threat letter. here.

If some of the issues sound familiar, you may be thinking of Facebook’s lawsuit against Power.com.
