The Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (Mica) is pushing to include text messages in the national Do-Not-Call (DNC) Registry in its draft data protection Bill.

Mica yesterday launched its third round of public comment on the proposed Bill, which will be introduced in Parliament by the third quarter.
