While our Third Circuit considers whether law enforcement can compel DNA samples from arrestees or if it violates their constitutional rights,  Ernest Mabuza of Business Today (ZA) reports that legislation making it possible for South African law enforcement to collect DNA samples from suspects or convicted offenders is unlikely to be passed by Parliament any time soon.
