A Quebec man has been ordered forced to pay Facebook more than $1 billion in fines for spamming.

The Quebec Superior Court issued a judgment last week upholding a ruling in a California court that ordered Montrealer Adam Guerbuez to pay $1,068,928,721,46 U.S., which includes punitive damages for each of the 4,366,386 spam emails that he sent Facebook users in 2008.
