Wellington privacy specialist John Edwards is the new Privacy Commissioner, replacing Privacy Czar Marie Schroff.

John Edwards has been a prominent privacy law specialist, writing and commenting on various matters relating to privacy law, as well as having served in the Office of the Ombudsmen, the Privacy Commissioner and the Ministry of Health. He is also an avid collector of art and a sometime creative arts and entertainment law practitioner.
