Authorities in Suffolk County have unveiled a new initiative aimed at getting eyes inside a school in case a situation becomes dangerous.

The measure — known as SHARE, Sharing to Help Access Remote Entry — will give school districts the ability to connect their existing closed-circuit television inside the school directly to the Suffolk County Police Department, officials said on Friday.
