CBC News reports:

Ontario’s privacy commisioner has ordered the province’s Liquor Control Board to stop gathering personal information from wine club members and to destroy any data collected from clubs so far.

The ruling from Ann Cavoukian follows a complaint lodged last year by the Toronto-based Vin de Garde wine club.
