A former nurse at an Adelaide public hospital has been convicted over the illegal filming of a partially-clothed dementia patient who was in her care.
Diosa Navarro Rankine, 50, pleaded guilty in the Adelaide Magistrates Court last week to the degrading and humiliating filming of an 85-year-old woman at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) in February 2015.
The court heard Rankine used her mobile phone to film a conversation with the woman who was in a distressed state, and later showed the footage to her partner and a friend.
