Today’s House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on FISA got a bit testy at times, with some members of the committee suggesting that Edward Snowden is the only reason we know about the scope of government collection of our call records and that Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act may not get renewed in two years when it sunsets if the government doesn’t rein in its practices.
