The iPad just became a “magical, revolutionary” surveillance device.

Software maker Retina-X has announced the first known spyware for iPads, a revamped version of its MobileSpy application for the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and other smartphone platforms.

Like the iPhone version of MobileSpy, this is hardly approved Apple App Store material. The application only works on iPads that have been jailbroken to run unapproved third party applications, so average, terms-of-service respecting Apple tablet users needn’t worry that MobileSpy is secretly tracking them.
