Privacy Commissioner of Canada Jennifer Stoddart welcomes the passage of new legislation aimed at combating spam.

“Spam is a growing problem for Canadians with important implications for privacy and negative consequences for our economy,”  says Commissioner Stoddart. “We look forward to working with the other agencies responsible for enforcement of the anti-spam legislation, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission and the Competition Bureau.”
