Last week, The Guardian reported on how the FBI was seeking a proposed rule change that would enable it to hack into computers in the U.S. and elsewhere.

The Advisory Committee on Criminal Rules will hold its first hearing on the proposal on November 5 with some leading privacy advocates testifying. In the interim, you can read the ACLU’s submission to the Advisory Committee,  the CDT’s submission, and the joint submission by EFF and ACCESSNOW.
