Thinking about privacy
I returned from a trip to discover that ShadowMonkey tagged Chronicles for a ‘Thinking Blogger Award.’ I am truly honored, ShadowMonkey, and in turn, am nominating five blogs for the award. Although there are a lot of truly excellent blogs that I read every day, I’ve picked five of those that make me think about privacy or inform me about privacy issues in the U.S.:
1. Concurring Opinions – Daniel J. Solove
2. Emergent Chaos – Adam Shostack, Chris Walsh, Arthur and Mordaxus
3. 27B Stroke 6 – Ryan Singel, Luke O’Brien, Quinn Norton, and Kevin Poulsen
4. Homeland Stupidity – Michael Hampton
5. MichaelZimmer.org – Michael Zimmer
Congratulations folks, you’ve now won a

If you choose to participate, please make sure you pass along this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
There’s also a Quinn Norton at 27B Stroke 6 in addition to the above named people.
Um.. would you believe I was just protecting his privacy by omitting his name? No, huh?
Thanks, Michael. I’ve added his name now.
I’ve read a lot of these blogs and dig them. I also like GlobalPOV by David H. Holtzman. He’s got an interesting vision of how things like privacy will develop as a result of technology and maybe even more importantly he articulates a frustration with the state of things that… I don’t know, it’s sort of an “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it any more” thing, and I can really dig that.
Did you know? I recently got a brand new shiny dot com domain name! =)
Would you be so kind to change the links from ilkeryoldas.blogspot.com to http://www.thethinkingblog.com ?
Thanks a million!
Done, lker. I hope the folks I tagged catch the change.
Privacywonk: I agree with you about GlobalPOV. There are a bunch of really good privacy blogs out there, including a number of non-U.S. blogs that I find really informative in getting some perspective on what\’s going on elsewhere — like David Fraser\’s blog, Peter Timmins\’s blog, Michael Geist\’s blog, and Peter Fleischer\’s blog.
Thank you
